Sometimes, the greatest act of courage is simply to trust yourself.

Trust Your Unique Way is an invitation to embrace intuition and to move forward with confidence, even when the path ahead is uncertain. The interconnected circles flowing across the canvas evoke the invisible relationships that shape our lives, reminding us that while we are deeply connected to others, every journey remains uniquely our own.

Created with oil paint, oil medium, charcoal, Australian clay and natural pigments sourced from France and Gumbaynggirr Country, Australia (used with permission), this painting reflects my ongoing exploration of natural materials and their ability to carry memory, place and emotion. Working with oil allows me to build the surface slowly through successive layers, creating depth, subtle transitions and luminous textures that continue to evolve as the painting matures.

The earthy palette is enriched by vibrant blue passages that introduce a sense of openness and possibility. Emerging from the warm mineral tones, these blues suggest clarity after uncertainty, while the luminous centre becomes a quiet source of light, symbolising the inner confidence that appears when we choose to trust ourselves rather than external expectations.

Each layer was developed patiently, allowing the materials to interact naturally and reveal textures that cannot be entirely predicted or repeated. This slow process is an essential part of my practice, where time itself becomes one of the painting's materials.
