As a child, my aunt, the poet Janette Besançon, would take my hand and lead me to Reims Cathedral at a precise hour each afternoon. We would wait together for the magical, fleeting moment when sunlight illuminated Marc Chagall'sstained-glass windows, transforming colour into living light.

That ritual shaped the way I see painting.

Years later, pigments gathered in Champagne meet Australian healing clay and pigments collected on Gumbaynggirr Country with permission. Two places that have profoundly shaped my life come together in a single work, where memory, landscape and emotion become inseparable.

From Chagall to My Heart is a tribute to transmission, wonder and the quiet power of shared moments. It speaks of the beauty of slowing down, of paying attention, and of discovering that the most enduring inspirations are often born from simple acts of love.
